If you, your child, or someone you live with has a NEW, CONTINUOUS COUGH or a HIGH TEMPERATURE (above 37.8) you should arrange to have a PCR test and isolate until you have received the results. If the test is positive the self isolation period should last for 10 days.
If a child presents at school with a NEW, CONTINUOUS COUGH or a HIGH TEMPERATURE (37.8) they should be isolated in school and sent home as soon as possible. The family will then need to arrange a PCR test.
